I had just under a week in London Town and covered as much ground as you possibly can in such a big city. I barely scratched the surface of everything there is to do! That being said, I was able to tour around with The Original Tour on their hop on/hop off bus to see as many of the sites as possible. I also went on a day trip to Stonehenge and the Roman baths with Anderson Tours and I’d highly recommend that experience as well!

The Astor Hostels are a small chain made up of four hostels in prime locations around London. I was lucky enough to stay at the Hyde Park location near the Natural History museum. Located on a quiet and beautiful tree-lined boulevard, this hostel has a large and relaxing living room area with comfy couches and tables to work from. They have 24/7 reception and easy wifi access throughout the hostel. One of my favorite features of this hostel is the charity breakfast offered whereby your donation goes directly to their charities posted on the hostels wall that are updated every quarter. I recommend this hostel for solo backpackers looking to make new friends as there are multiple common areas and the dining room area makes it very inviting to get to know others staying there. They also offer walking tours and events at the hostel for even more opportunities to mingle. Overall,  lovely location and great ambiance make this hostel worth checking out if you’re a backpacker on a budget, a solo traveler or even just looking to make a couple of new mates or two in the travelers community 🙂 Check them out on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
