Ahhhh, San Sebastian, Spain! This town has amazing energy, you feel it right when you get in. It’s apparent that this is one of the hot spots for Europeans to vacation given everyone just looks so happy to be there 🙂 My sister and I visited San Sebastian the first weekend of September and lucked out with amazing weather. Beyond eating pintxos, drinking wine and shopping till you drop, San Sebastian is known for its beaches and incredible vista points. It was one of the most instagrammable stops I’ve been to on my European adventure thus far! I highly recommend going up the Funicular de Igueldo for amazing views, it’s an instagrammmers dream (see pics).

We also enjoyed an entire evening at La Perla Spa that has multiple rooms and two floors of hot tubs and spa areas located right in the center of the main beach. Looking out of the spa, you will see these views of the beach, amazing location in the center of town.

I recommend that you go to the San Sebastian Tourism website for more information on things to do in the area. My sister and I only had 3 nights total but wish we could have stayed longer!

San Sebastian Hotel Recommendation: HOTEL EZEIZA

Steps away from the beach, this hotel is *perfectly* located near one of the most picturesque areas of San Sebastian: Playa Onderreta and the Funicular. We loved the location so much as it is literally right on the beach making it super accessible to enjoy a fun day in the water, and yet not be too far away from your room. The walk into the Old Town is just about a half hour. It doesn’t feel like that long given the entire stretch is gorgeous – on a warm sunny day it becomes a really nice stroll! I recommend requesting an ocean view room, the breeze was so nice and the views make you feel like you are in paradise every morning and night 🙂 They also have a restaurant attached and serve a nice breakfast made up of a croissant with jams, orange juice and coffee.

Two thumbs up!
