If you’re looking for a place to stay in Melaka, Malaysia, check out this luxury boutique hotel called Casa del Rio. This was one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in and I highly recommend it to couples, friends, and families.
Located in the heart of Melaka, Malaysia, this is a town you’ll want to explore. It’s only a few hours south of Kuala Lumpur, and my super luxury bus cost only $3 USD. It took roughly 2.5 hours total and there were nice views the whole way of what seemed like a million palm trees!
Perfectly located, Casa del Rio is within walking distance to all historical sites as well as the famous Jonker Street. Jonker street offers a weekend night market (Friday – Sunday) and thankfully I arrived on a Sunday in time to be able to see and experience it. I had a blast walking through the market and stopping by the various vendors for snacks.
Best Place To Stay In Melaka: Casa del Rio
Overall, Casa del Rio was a dream hotel to stay in, I genuinely enjoyed my stay here. The main lobby invites you in with a pool and comfortable seating all around. The room screams high luxury with a master bathroom and jaccuzi tub that opens into the room and a balcony overlooking the river. Rooms face either the Melaka river or the pool. Above the hotel is an infinity rooftop pool that overlooks both the Maritime Museum (which is a replica of a Portuguese ship) and The Shore Sky Tower. On the main floor, The River Grill restaurant offers Western and local cuisines and a buffet of assorted dishes.
