Riding High with the Chicago Helicopter Experience

The Chicago Helicopter Experience helped my sister and I kick off summer in Chicago! We soured above Chicago in a helicopter and saw all the major landmarks beneath us on a super sunny day. This was my second ride ever in a helicopter, the first one being in Cape Town. I have to say, I had just as much fun! I know Chicago pretty well, especially having lived here before and when I don’t live here I visit often! Therefore, I’ve been looking for unique things to do in the city and this topped my Chicago bucket list. When our tour time finally came it “flew by” so fast! The Day Time Tour with CHE starts in the south side and works it way up Lake Michigan covering a perfect view of the skyline.

We flew past Navy Pier, Wrigley Field, Hancock, Sears (OK, Willis Tower), and Soldier Field. My sister and I have been to each of these landmarks before but have never seen them from this vantage point! Our pilot, Jeff, was super friendly and provided us with fun facts about Chicago throughout the tour. He made us feel at ease as soon as we got into the helicopter and buckled in. It was my sister’s first time in a helicopter and she was a bit nervous! As soon as we took off, our nerves settled and we realized how smooth the ride was. We lucked out with amazing weather filled with sunshine and blue skies.

Overall, we had such a blast! The views are absolutely incredible, the experience is exciting, and the staff at CHE Tours are very welcoming. CHE Tours offers a variety of tours during the day and night. My sister and I did the Day Tour, which is $148 total and lasts for roughly 15 minutes. • I have always had a love of flying, so I truly enjoyed all of your breathtaking aerial photos. Worth every cent that you paid for your time in the sky!

  • Tomorrow is a special day for me in Chicago. It is the last CYSO concert for the season. A select group, including my grand daughter, Grace, will
be traveling to perform in Eastern Europe.
