Situated right in the heart of this small town of Holland, Michigan, is a restaurant called Butch’s Dry Dock. Highly rated online as one of the best restaurants in Holland, I knew it would be an ideal location to celebrate my sister’s bachelorette party with friends. There were 11 of us and we reserved their private Wine Cellar. It was the perfect area tucked away for all of us to be as loud as we wanted 🙂
We kicked off the evening with a number of reds and whites that helped us celebrate. Their wine menu is expansive and we did our best to taste our way through it! To learn more about their wine, you can go on one of their tours where they review the culinary traditions of the region. On their Spring 2017 menu, we enjoyed a number of dishes that were as delicious as they were pretty! We all raved about a few of the appetizers which we would recommend. These include the hummus, the salmon poke, and pommes frites. Gone in seconds, the salmon poke was tempting us to order it again!
For supper and based on commentary at the table, I would recommend the lamb chops, chicken quesadilla, and filet. Check out the below gallery for pictures of our evening together. Overall, Butch’s Dry Dock offers a calming environment with friendly staff, tasty wines, and a great selection of meals. Be sure to check them out if you’re ever in Holland, Michigan. This town has a Tulip Festival every year in the Spring and is totally worth a visit! And now feast your eyes on these goodies… 🙂
