Mallorca, Spain, is the largest island in the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean. As a first time visitor, I wanted to stay centrally located in the town of Palma and take day trips to explore the whole of the island at my own pace. There are heaps of hotel options on the island, especially in and around Palma. After conducting a ton of research, it wasn’t a difficult decision for me to choose Hotel Cort. A chic design hotel located right in the heart of Palma, I had the most relaxing and comfortable stay.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a glass of cava – most of which is produced in Catalonia, what a nice treat! A friendly receptionist went out of her way to make sure I felt welcomed and guided me through everything the hotel offers. Hotel Cort is made up of 14 Suites and 2 double bedrooms, a sundeck with small swimming pool (see photo on right) and a restaurant and bar that spill out into a charming square in the historic Placa de Cort. Reservations include a free breakfast buffet where you can dine inside or out near a massive olive tree! The hotel is walking distance to just about everything in Palma including popular restaurants, boutique shops and the famous Palma Cathedral.

My favorite part of the entire experience was the suite itself, the bed is massive with a million soft pillows. It’s one of those you just want to jump into and easily make yourself at home! The suite includes a living room area with a pull out bed, designer chair and two balcony doors that open up into Placa de Cort. The bathroom shower is beautifully adorned with blue tiles and the products are from Molton Brown London. I highly recommend a stay at Hotel Cort if you’re ever in Palma de Mallorca, it’s truly a nice retreat. See website for latest offers and rates at Hotel Cort.
